Orville
NASH hails from Atlantic-City New-Jersey ,USA , where he was born
on August 3 d 1947. He often went to the Steel Pier , on the Atlantic
Ocean , where he saw such artists as Conway Twitty , Johnny § the
Hurricanes , Jerry Lee Lewis , and Ricky Nelson . It's on this venue
in 1961 that he shook the hand of the world famous James Burton ,
who signed him an autograph that spurred him on to become a country
singer. After he graduated from High School in 1965 , he went to Houston
TX where he met Huey P Meaux , the famous Crazy Cajun Label producer
who took over Bill Queen's Goldstar Studio on Brock street . That's
where he met Sleepy Labeef , Mickey Gilley , and Sonny Fisher . He
then appeared around the local clubs in Houston along with his first
band , the Troopers. His first hit single "Gator Boogie Woogie Man"
on the BRONCO Label is a milestone , but his songwriting talent is
displayed on tracks such as 'Big Rig Driver' , a true grit truck driver
song , " The Girl with the Sparkling Eyes" , a melodious and sentimental
tune highlighted by the harmonica of Nicolas Wayne Toussaint , award
winner of the best harp player 2001 in FRANCE , and finally "Dying
Breed" a country ballad that would certainly appeal to country stars
such as Alan Jackson and George Strait, all these tracks featured
on this cd. Orville and his band show beyond doubt that they are at
their best and can prove their Showmanship internationally. Just listen
to this cd an judge for yourself!
